Ben Meyer Taylor, D.O. is a graduate of the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency in Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine and Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine at Saint Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx. Prior to medical training Dr. Taylor earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion Studies and Psychology at TCU in Ft. Worth, Texas (1990) and then a Master of Divinity degree at Brite Divinity School (1996). He has lived abroad in the former Soviet Union, he has worked as a hospital chaplain, a parish minister, managed a group home for developmentally disabled adults, and, together with his wife, owned and operated an Ashtanga yoga center in Oak Park, Illinois.

Osteopathic Manipulative MedicineDr. Taylor’s journey into osteopathy, as an integrated approach to healing and well-being, began in his youth and early years of undergraduate studies. Even in his early years, he sought to understand and en-corporate into his own life the spiritual teachings of his faith tradition, modern science, a burgeoning ecological awareness and what it means to be fully “embodied”. This line of questioning, seeking and contemplating has guided his personal evolution through years of academic and professional training into what has become an osteopathic medical practice characterized by a compassionate, mindful presence.
Ben is married to JoAn Pangilinan-Taylor, and together they have two sons, Noah and Samuel. He is board certified in OMM/NMM (now referred to as Osteopathic Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine) and holds a diploma in Clinical Homeopathy from the CEDH. He has been in solo private practice in Brooklyn since 2009. During this time Ben has also enjoyed teaching osteopathic medical students and residents and served on the faculty of Saint Barnabas Hospital. He has served as a table trainer with the Osteopathic Cranial Academy and in the spring of 2021 Dr. Taylor joined the faculty of the Sutherland Cranial Teaching Foundation. He is a member in good standing of the AOA and the AAO. Ben is delighted now to expand his practice to treat patients at Woodstock Healing Arts in Woodstock, NY.
