Carol brings over 40 years of experience to her practice. Originally trained at Esalen Institute in California in the 1970’s she was first certified in Massage Therapy at Heartwood Institute in Santa Cruz California. Returning to NY she trained at the Swedish Institute in NYC and was first licensed in 1981.
Her specialty is Esalen style massage with the use of aromatic oils for overall deep, soothing relaxation. She also incorporates deep work when needed. Carol has knowledge of Chinese Medicine as a practitioner of Qi Gong and Tai Qi for over 40 years. She in certified in Chinese Medical Aromatherapy through studies with Taoist Master Jeffrey Yuen. She offers Aromatherapy consultations for health concerns and offers private lessons in Qi Gong and Tai Qi.
She has also studied aromatherapy in France, Egypt, Brazil and Mongolia. Carol studied the art of natural perfumery in Italy. In her brand – Essencia from Nature – she has created a line of hand crafted perfumes and healing salves that are made from only natural aromatic essential oils and absolutes. Her latest product is rejuvenating Facial oil called “Cloud”. She brings her knowledge of healing scents to her massage therapy practice.
