Shamanic Healing

LOCATION: LAKE HILL

About Rebecca

I am a modern Shaman trained in ancient healing ways. I understand what it means to live in the world as a sensitive human being and to live life fully with all of its wonder and deeply difficult challenges. I understand our source is love and light.

As a child I experienced altered states spontaneously, openings to Source, and this continued into my 30's when I prayed for a teacher, as I did not understand these "openings". These were not the result of any drugs or plant medicine, and my many years of learning and practicing do not include these either.

My first teacher of 13 years was part Lakota, part Irish. My second teacher was the rainforest in Costa Rica, where I lived and was aided by the Shamans of Chiripo for 5 years. My third and final teacher was the famale shaman from the Reindeer People of Mongolia, with whom I lived for a period of time.

I have been offering healing sessions for 35 years, and have worked in Oregon, Costa Rica, Canada, Chicago, Paris, and New York.

I have published two books, Singing into Bone and Earth Practices, both available at Mirabai in Woodstock and on Amazon.

Their Approach:

Session

When you arrive for your session, we will sit and talk briefly before you lay on the massage table where I will read your energetic body. This is the body around your physical body and it contains information about your ancestors, your purpose, your conflicts, your physical and mental well being, and your personal past. I will talk with you and suggest the form of the work I will do, with your permission. I may drum and sing to you while you relax and let the sounds in. This will unblock stuck energy in your body, remind you of who you came here to be, and possibly allow you to go into an altered state. I may use other sounds, hands on, feathers, rocks, singing bowls. I likely will place crystals on you. All of this is with the intention of addressing whatever issues you came with, and to bring more light into your being.

All sessions are done in my healing room in Lake Hill, NY. This is 10 min. outside of Woodstock

Clearings:

I clear stagnant, negative, old, energy out of: homes, businesses, places where crimes have taken place and "haunted places".

The cost depends on the place and what is occurring there.

  • "Rebecca offers to us a thread of powerful healing, asking us to slow down and open our senses up. As we do so, we begin to weave back around to what it means to be human in the hoop of life. This is a medicine much needed now. "

Nicholas M. Petrucco Sound Healer and Instrument Maker, Albany, NY

  • “As a healer, Rebecca offers an embodied process where one is invited to fully participate in finding meaning, purpose and beauty in the seasons and cycles of one's life, no matter the circumstances, personal and intimate, or within our collective surroundings, supported by the sacred in living nature.”

    Isabelle Annick, Healing Artist

  • "As a family physician who has long felt drawn to a call for more indigenous ways of healing, I have found that Rebecca Singer's work is deeply soul-satisfying, challenging, and a homecoming. She has a profound knowing, humor and creativity, and love for ‘all our relations’. I will never hear the human heartbeat in quite the same way again. I apply what I have experienced in our sessions with medical students, and in the exam room with my patients.”

Gabriella Miotto --Poet and family physician in community medicine/Long Beach, California

  • "Rebecca has great knowledge and skill. I am more grounded, connected, able to be fully present with ‘what is’. I have an enhanced relationship with myself and nature, which has transformed all aspects of my life for the better.”

Anna Bardas – Herbalist Holistic Healing. Melbourne, Australia

  • Despite decades of self-examination and therapy, loss and grief brought me to my knees in midlife and I couldn’t seem to find my way back. I met Shamanic healer, Rebecca Singer, at the darkest point in my journey. She put me on a barefoot path, guided by the rhythms of earth and the heartbeat of my drum. I began to assemble the scattered pieces of my lost self until, at last, I remembered who I am. Through my work with Rebecca, I have come to know myself better, and cherish my place and my purpose within all things.”
